I did think it was slightly expensive in comparison to some of the inner city properties we have stayed in in the past few days plus taxes. Lorraine in reception was pleasant and called once we were in our room to make sure we were comfortable. We knew we were on a major road and rail line but it didn't really interfere with our comfort.

Reception didn't tell us the town was shutting off the water at 10am so a toilet that should have been flushed couldn't be (gross!) - when I went into reception to see what was happening she said she tried to call our room but we didn't answer (because we were at breakfast), but she didn't try to call the cell number she had! Free breakfast at the adjacent restaurant was a joke - terrible food (hashbrowns might have been cooked in rancid oil?), service was horrific from one woman that was positively foul and the sweet other woman couldn't quite overcome the foul one's barking at everyone - it was a strange scene. Shower didn't drain well at all so was standing in ankle-deep water almost the entire shower. Bathroom had a funky smell that wouldn't go away even with the window partially open.
